Summer Activity Schedule

Activities we do every weekend 5/6/11 - 9/5/11, plus the themed weekend activities listed on each weekend.

Stuff-a-Kritter: make your own stuffed animal! Hayrides: take a ride around the property and get wet on the Super Soaker Hayride, movies and popcorn, and pancake breakfast.  We also have a pizza and ice cream parlor open all week.

May

6-8 Mother’s Day Weekend- Crafts, Games and free pancakes for Mom on Sunday.

13-15 Come Camp and Care with us Weekend- Swap Meet: bring your stuff to sell and we will advertise in the local paper. Crafts, BINGO, pool activities.

20-22 Wacky Sports Weekend- Hillbilly Horseshoes, Mud Volleyball, Goofy Golf

27-30 Memorial Weekend- Help support our troops.  We will be collecting non-perishables, decks of cards, small games or just write a letter  to send over to our troops.  In the military or a veteran?  Bring in identification and get a free ice cream sundae if you are a registered guest.  We appreciate all you do or have done for our country.

June

3-5 Duct Tape Weekend- Crafts and games using our favorite duct tape.

10-12 Fiesta Weekend- Make Fiesta Eggs, Burrito Bar for dinner, Dancing, Pinata

17-19 Father’s Day Weekend- Games, Family Activities, Free Pancakes for Dad on Sunday.

24-26 Western Weekend- “Rodeo” Activities All Weekend, BBQ Dinner

July

1-4 Independence Weekend- Fourth of July Activities in a neighboring town: rodeo, fireworks, etc.  We will have a small firecracker display at the campground.

8-10 Pirate Weekend- Hidden Treasure Scavenger Hunt, Pirate Crafts, Pirate movies

15-17 Chocolate Weekend- Chocolate Buffet, chocolate BINGO, chocolate pie eating contest

22-24 County Fair Weekend- go to the Arapahoe County Fair, or just stay at the campground and have fun with our “Carnival” games and activities.

29-31 Water World Weekend I- Pool Activities, water games: Be prepared to get wet!

August

5-7 Luau Weekend- Limbo Contest, Hula Dancing, Hawaiian Pizza

12-14 Strasburg’s Hometown Days- Parade, events in town, parade, family dance

19-21 Back to School Weekend- The last hurrah before the kids go back to school.

26-28 Water World Weekend II- It’s still warm out, we have lots of water fun planned.

September

2-4 Labor Day Weekend- No laboring here, just relax.  Let us entertain your kids while you relax.

9-11 Grandparents’ Weekend- Grandparents, bring your grandkids for FREE.  No extra person fee for the grandkids.  Come see how much fun they have here.

16-18 Summer’s End Weekend- Come enjoy the last weekend of summer at our KOA.

23-25 First Official Autumn Weekend- Good old harvest fun.  Enjoy some of the “old-time” games played at harvest celebrations of late.

30-2 Halloween Weekend- Get more bang for your buck out of those costumes and decorations.  Decorate your site, make a Jack-o-Lantern.  Bring a bag of candy for Trick-or-Treating.

Second weekend in June.

• Home Town Days

Held the third weekend of August. A local celebration of joining of rails at Strasburg, Colorado (1870). Attractions include a parade, museum activities, horse and tractor pulls, dances, food and craft shows.
